Keeping Youth Safe from Cyberbullying project aim is to is to deeper understand the dynamics of cyber bullying in online environments among youth, develop educational resources for professionals involved in youth activities in order to prevent these type of behaviors, develop youth skills to protect themselves from cyberbullying and disseminate findings among educational professionals.
Specifically, our project is focus on: promoting positive ways of using technology for social interaction, raising youths’ awareness that they have the right and responsibilities to seek help to resolve cyber-bullying incidents, using positive approval, praise and encouragement to modify cyber-bullying behavior, providing appropriate monitoring and supervision of youths’ use of technology, developing the skills required of them to manage youths’ cyber-bullying behavior, encouraging and help youth to positively use technology for social interaction and participating in cyberbullying professional development opportunities.
This Handbook presents recent theories, research findings and methodological approaches that have attempted to identify, explain and ameliorate the phenomenon of cyberbullying.
